The estate’s 2014 Sauvignon Blanc 29 Estate is 100% Sauvignon Blanc aged 20 months in 100% new French oak. It is expensive, but is one of California’s most serious Sauvignon Blanc’s coming from a clone believed to be from the famous Haut-Brion Vineyard in Pessac-Léognan in Bordeaux. This exotic Bordeaux-like Sauvignon Blanc has notes of caramelized grapefruit, lanolin, ceiling wax, honeysuckle and a touch of white currant and melon. This is a beautifully aromatic medium-bodied, super-flavorful wine. There is no telling how long it will last, so I would drink it in its first 5-7 years of life.
