The 2009 UNO Tinto is a luxury cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah aged in brand new French oak barrels for 20 months. It's a ripe blend with some Mediterranean hints of aromatic herbs, rustic touches (tree bark) and notes of smoked meat mixed in with blackberries, touches of spices and a volatile hint. The nose shows some complexity, even if it's not very exciting. The palate is medium to full-bodied with abundant, slightly grainy tannins, moderate acidity and a quite agreeable and tasty finish. Though it is quite pleasant, I don't see a great wine here. 1,200 bottles produced. Again, the price is insane.
