The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve was sourced from a variety of vineyard sites in several AVAs. It was aged for 26 months in 100% new oak, a mix of French and American. Purple-colored, the wine exhibits scents of pain grille, scorched earth, black currant, blackberry, and licorice. On the palate it offers abundant spicy black fruits, chocolate, and mocha. There is plenty of depth and a long 45+ second finish. The structure is present for 4-6 years of further development in the bottle and it should provide pleasure through 2030.
