Last Tasted 8/92
When first released, this was one of the most flamboyant Corton-Charlemagnes of the vintage. It has now taken on more definition and structure, and may disprove my theory about the limited aging potential of Coche-Dury's wines. The wine still boasts a spectacular, stony, mineral-scented nose intermingled with aromas of over-ripe oranges and apples. Full-bodied, with admirable concentration, crisp acidity, and far more definition and focus than it initially exhibited, this large-scaled, yet perfectly balanced wine should continue to drink well for another 4-6 years.
