The 2017 Q Cabernet Sauvignon has more grapes from Gualtallary than La Consulta in the warmer year to compensate the ripeness and concentration of the low-yielding year. It's herbal and spicy, peppery, without excess ripeness; in fact, it has less ripeness sensation than the cooler 2016. The explanation is that the higher percentage of the grapes from Gualtallary (Tupungato Winelands) are planted on deeper soils, so the vines have more vigor and the ripeness was not as high. 90,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2018.
