The limited production 1997 Pinot Noir Rincon Vineyard (4,541 bottles) offers copious quantities of high quality French oak mixed with blackberry and cherry fruit. Gorgeous aromas reminiscent of a top growth from Vosne-Romanee (violets and raspberries) also make an appearance. Tightly-knit and full-bodied, with sweet tannin and a rich, nicely-layered mid-section, this impressively-endowed Pinot Noir will be better with another 1-2 years of bottle age, and will keep for a decade.
