The 2005 Pinot Noir Rincon Vineyard has concentrated kirsch, raspberry, and currant notes with some background earth and oak. Much like the other wines, the acidity is high, the wine tightly knit, rather ungiving and lean, but at the same time, it is very promising because of the purity and depth one can sense. The tannins and acidity still have the upper hand, but I think the balance is there.
