Sinforiano’s entry-level wine, the 2009 Sinfo Tinto Roble was sourced from 40-year-old Tempranillo bush vines and aged for 4 months in French and American oak. Inviting notes of Asian spices, incense, violets, and blackberry inform the nose of this ripe, layered, savory red. Nicely proportioned and lengthy, this very good value can be approached now and will drink well for another 5 years. It is another fine example of what could be attained in the superb 2009 vintage. Bodegas Sinforiano is a small family-owned and operated estate in the DO of Cigales north of the more celebrated DOs of Ribera del Duero and Toro. As in those two regions the principal grape variety is Tempranillo.Importer: Bon Vivant Imports; Tel. (435) 654-3711
