This Tuscan winery has turned out a bevy of attractive wines. The 1993 and 1994 Cortaccio Vino da Tavola (Villa Cafaggio's proprietary Cabernet Sauvignon) possess deep ruby/purple colors, as well as copious quantities of cassis fruit and toasty new oak. The 1993 is more unevolved and youthful than the 1994. The 1994 is more open, but both are tannic, youthful, grapy, one-dimensional, well-endowed wines that need another 2-4 years of bottle age. Both wines should last well for 12-15 years. Importer: FWI, Inc., Rutherford, NJ; tel. (201) 935-5935
