This Cabernet Sauvignon, from the Tuscany commune of Greve, is impressive. The color is a healthy, thick-looking dark ruby/purple. The tight but promising nose offers up sweet toast, in addition to copious quantities of cassis. Secondary nuances should develop after a few years of bottle age. The wine is fleshy, rich, and medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated wood, tannin, and acidity. Purity and equilibrium are the hallmarks of this rich, Bordeaux-like offering.
