This is my first taste of this new wine from Donnachiara. The 2017 Greco di Tufo Aletheia takes a cheerful and carefree approach to the Greco grape with citrus fruit, pear, white melon, honey and crushed mineral. The wine is transparent and luminous in appearance with a fresh, simple and forthcoming delivery of aromas. A selection of the best fruit from the Santa Paolina vineyard with tufo-rich soils is used. No malolactic fermentation was allowed, and the wine is sharp and extra crispy as a result. Some 3,300 numbered bottles were made.
