Dark ruby-colored, the 2003 Nuits-St.-Georges Clos des Porrets St.-Georges explodes from the glass with aromas of licorice, super-ripe blackberries, cassis liqueur, and roasting spices. Packed to the gills with thick fruit (my notes have the word “dense” in all-caps), this road tar and blackberry-flavored effort is medium to full-bodied and backward.
