There are 1,000 cases of the 2006 Chardonnay Oliver’s Vineyard. Its light straw color is followed by a more intriguing bouquet of crushed rocks, white currants, quince, and nectarines. Full-bodied, crisp, subtle flavors of orange and nectarine appear in the mouth of this subtle, but substantial Chardonnay. It, too, can be drunk over the next 2-3 years.
The unquestionable Edna Valley reference point for Burgundy’s varietals is Talley Vineyards. Their wines eclipse any other wines made from these varietals in this region.
