The 2006 Ribolla Gialla is flat out great. The wine literally stains the palate with deep layers of apricots, tangerines, dried flowers and spices. There is a weightless power to the Ribolla that is just awesome. The wine’s balance and sense of harmony are both commendable. This has the energy and vitality to stand up to just about any cuisine. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2016. La Castellada, a small family-run winery in Oslavia, has been on a serious tear over the last few years.
