Composed of 97% Shiraz and 3% Viognier, the 2009 Shiraz casts a deep garnet color and offers notes of warm blueberries, kirsch and blackberry tart with underlying black pepper, licorice and tar hints. Full-bodied and richly fruited in the mouth, it has a medium to firm level of rounded tannins and crisp acid, finishing long and peppery. Drinking now, it should keep to 2015.
