The only 1993 Guyon wine to merit a recommendation is the Corton-Bressandes. It exhibits a dark ruby color, and a sweet nose of spicy new oak and rich, red fruits. Although the tannin is rustic and dusty, this is a concentrated, medium to full-bodied wine that should be cellared for 5-6 years; it will age well for 10-12 years. This is a large, important domaine spread throughout the Cote de Beaune. While the quality has improved, the wines still tend to be tannic, hard, austere red Burgundies that would benefit from more fruit, charm, flesh, and complexity.Importer: Chateau and Estate Wine Co., New York, NY; tel.
