The 2009 Syrah Nina Lee is 100% Syrah, fermented with a touch of stem that was added back, that spent 21 months in 35% new French oak. Classy all around and certainly an outstanding bottle of wine, it offers classic blackberry, violet, underbrush and spice-driven aromas and flavors as well as a medium-bodied supple and polished texture on the palate. Balanced, rich and with superb purity of fruit, it should continue to shine for another 4-5 years. Drink now-2018.
