Co-fermented with Viognier, the 2016 Syrah Nina Lee has a soft floral lift that directs the nose to more delicate licorice tones, ripe black raspberry and sweet dusty pepper nuances. Medium to full-bodied and subtly ripe on the palate, the wine has good mineral tension and a lively structure of acidity on the mid-palate. Rich red fruits—dark cherry, black raspberry—and an elegant focus are found on the lingering finish of this sleek and stylish wine. It's tasty, and I am enticed to take a second sip.
