The 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva (with 5% Merlot) is a modern and contemporary expression that opens with a velvety soft presentation of black fruit and sweet spice flavors. The bouquet is opulent and large in scope with layers of dark plum, dried blackberry, cinnamon and freshly ground espresso beans. This is a mid-weight Riserva with crisp acidity on the finish. Some 8,000 bottles were made.

Firm and vibrant, with fine balance and a long finish that echoes the spice notes and introduces a mineral element.
