The 2007 Aglianico del Vulture Basilisco is a gorgeous wine. Black fruit, leather, licorice and game are some of the notes that flow from this virile, powerful Aglianico. The Basilisco can at times be a touch rustic but in 2007 the wine has more than enough fruit to balance the tannins. Tar, incense and smoke linger on a finish with no hard edges.
