Unlike many wines from this vintage, the 1995 is approaching full maturity. It exhibits a deep plum/purple color as well as a sweet bouquet of figs, prunes, black raspberries, and blackberries (always a hallmark of this old vine cuvee). Full-bodied and unctuous, with high tannin, glycerin, and richness, it will provide immense pleasure over the next 17-18 years. Catherine and Sophie Armenier continue to fashion one of France’s greatest wines. There are 750 cases produced from 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, and 10% miscellaneous varietals.Importer: Importer: Eric Solomon, European Cellars, Charlotte, NC; tel. (704) 358-1565
