Bethel Heights is one of Oregon's finest wineries and their three 1993 Pinot Noirs, while surprisingly more tannic and structured than most Oregon wines from that vintage, are also concentrated and promising. The 1993 Estate Pinot Noir exhibits a medium dark ruby color, a structured palate with moderate tannin, adequate acidity, and plenty of ripe red and black cherry fruit. Although somewhat compact and linear, it should continue to develop and drink well for 5-7 years. Tel. (503) 581-2262
