The 2006 Myolo is a blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep crimson-colored, it gives up a racy, high-toned aromatic array of toasty oak, cinnamon, clove, cassis, black raspberry, and black currant. This is followed by a sophisticated, intellectual style of wine owing more to Bordeaux than Napa. It has plenty of concealed structure, complex flavors, and excellent length. After a half-dozen years of further cellaring its drinking window should extend from 2016 to 2036. Importer: John Larchet, The Australian Premium Wine Collection; www.tapwc.com.au
