The 2006 St.-Joseph Le Paradis St.-Pierre blanc is a blend 90% Marsanne (aged in old barrels) and 10% Roussanne (aged in 40% new casks). Its light gold color is followed by a big, sweet nose of crushed rocks, rose petals, lychee nuts, honeyed pineapples, and other tropical fruits. Good acidity, medium to full body, and superb purity suggest it will provide plenty of pleasure over the next 3-4 years.
