Very much a classic, high-quality Chilean Cabernet. The nose features traditional aromas of mint, tobacco, rubber band and herbs, but also deep black fruits. The acidity is right up to the max level, so the fruit flavors are pushed toward the red end of the spectrum, while accents of vanilla and dill are welcome. Some cola hints and heat work the finish, as do notes of black olive and cedar. One of Luis Felipe Edwards’ best wines in years.——M.S.(9/1/2009)—— 89
