The 2005 Barbaresco Gallina is gorgeous in its dark cherries, menthol, spices and leather. This layered, expansive Barbaresco possesses tons of detail and nuance in a polished style. Sweet balsamic notes waft from the glass on the long, harmonious finish. The round, generous style is quite typical of Gallina. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020.
