The 2006 Premium Vintage Rose is made from 100% Pinot Noir primarily fermented 100% in barrel before spending 3 years on its lees. Revealing a very, very pale salmon color it has fragrant strawberry and fresh raspberry aromas with some white pepper, fresh croissant and a hint of pot pourri. The palate is very crisp and dry with a nice intensity of flavor to balance and just enough dosage (6-7 g/l). Giving a long, refreshing finish this wine is drinking beautifully now but should develop over 3-5 years. 120 cases made. One of the first sparkling wine labels to come out of Tasmania, Jansz originated as a joint venture that included Louis Roederer Champagne house but has since changed hands and is now fully owned by the Hill-Smith family and part of the growing Yalumba group. Jansz specializes in solely producing high quality, traditionally made sparkling wines in Australia’s most promising region for this style.Importer: Negociants USA; Napa, CA; tel. (707) 259-0993
