Produced from 40 year old vines, and exhibiting scents of white flowers and minerals, the outstanding Chassagne Montrachet Les Vergers is a fat, ripe, elegant wine. With intense, concentrated red berries, star anise, and buttery touches, this rich wine should be drunk between its release and 2003. This note is the result of tastings I did in Burgundy between January 7 and January 29.
