Cécile Tremblay's 2005 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes hails from what was only her third vintage, and while her style has evolved since those early days, the wine is still very successful, offering up a nose of red-black cherries, plum, rose petal, espresso and a rich framing of cedary new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium-full, intense and concentrated, its tannins beginning to melt and its fruit fresh and vibrant. The new oak signature to Cécile's wines has changed, but clearly the deft hand in the cellar was there from the beginning.
