Produced from 40-year-old vines planted in sandy soils, the 2003 Riesling Kabinett Leiwener Klostergarten offers a nose of slate (though its terroir has no slate), flowers, and white fruits. Minerals, flint, and quartz-like characteristics can be discerned in its pure, fresh personality. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
