The 1989 Crozes-Hermitage is a dazzling wine, with at least 10-15 years of aging potential. Its ruby/purple color, sweet bouquet of vanillin-scented new oak, roasted fruit (particularly cassis and black plums), excellent extract, rich, full-bodied, brilliantly focused palate impression, and super length make it a delicious bottle of Crozes-Hermitage. Anticipated maturity: now-2002. Last tasted 12/95.
