The 2007 Heredad de Candela is 100% Monastrell aged for nine months in new 500-liter French oak. Deep crimson-colored, it offers up an alluring perfume of pain grille, mineral, violets, black cherry, and blueberry. Velvety on the palate, it has layers of savory dark fruit, rich flavors, excellent balance, and a pure finish. Drink it over the next six years. Senorio de Barahonda was founded in 1925 and is run by the fourth generation of the Candela family. They farm 840 acres in and around the town of Yecla in Murcia.
