Looking at the current vintage and the only 2011 presented, the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is a mostly concrete-aged blend of 90% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre and 5% Syrah. Medium-bodied and straightforward, with plenty of dusty earth, spice, garrigue and light cherry fruit, it’s a quaffable effort geared for near-term drinking. Drink now-2017.
This large co-op produces a bevy of well made, delicious efforts that are geared for near-term drinking.
