From a great producer, the 2005 Crozes Hermitage Clos des Grives comes from the southern portion of the appellation (where there’s lots of rolled stones and pebbles in the soil) and spent 12 months in 50% new French oak barrels. Medium-bodied, fresh and lively, with a ready to go feel, it offers plenty of black raspberry, strawberry and mint on the nose. It’s drinking at point today but will hold for another 5-7 years.
