The 1999 Sori Bricco Vineyard Proprietary Red (a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc) exhibits a saturated ruby/purple color as well as a big, earthy, spicy bouquet revealing notions of new oak and plenty of red and black fruits. The admirable aromas are followed by an abrasively tannic wine. Give it 2-5 years of cellaring. What will eventually emerge remains subject to conjecture. Nevertheless, there is a lot here. Tel. Beautiful orchestration of flavors, with dark, rich, chewy currant, earth, tobacco, cedar and mocha, firm tannins and the kind of concentration and structure that bodes well for aging.
