Izadi’s Expresion cuvee is made only in what they consider the finest vintages, the last being 2001. The 2007 Expresion is 100% Tempranillo from a vineyard planted in 1927 aged in new French oak for 18 months. Purple-colored, the aromatics reveal smoke, pencil lead, espresso, incense, black cherry, and a hint of blueberry. This leads to a medium to full-bodied, intensely flavored, structured wine that combines power and elegance. Give it 4-6 years of additional cellaring and drink it from 2014 to 2027.
