This well-known estate appears to be aiming for greater richness and ripeness, without sacrificing the wine's up-front, flattering precociousness or opulent texture. The 1994 exhibits a deep ruby color with purple nuances. It possesses excellent ripeness for the vintage, medium body, spicy oak, and a soft, lush, jammy, open-knit texture. The wine's low acidity suggest it should be drunk over the next 7-8 years. All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux. Most of the important wines from both the 1994 and 1995 vintages were tasted three separate times during my ten-day stay in Bordeaux.
