A beautiful wine, the 1971 Gloria has been fully mature since 1979, but has not lost a thing, although amber, brownish colors are becoming more apparent. The bouquet is highly perfumed, exhibiting scents of cedar, plums, vanillin spice, and sweet oak. On the palate, the wine is silky, gentle, and very fruity and sweet. An unquestioned success. I have not tasted this wine since 1984. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 10/84.
