The 2006 BFM is made up of 62.5% Merlot with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc. It spent 22 months in 55% new French and American oak. Purple-colored, it has an enticing bouquet of pain grille, spice box, cassis, violets, and black currant. This leads to a medium to full-bodied, smooth-textured, savory wine with enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years. Drink it from 2011 to 2018.
