The non-malolactic 1997 Chardonnay, which was bottled in July, is unquestionably a successful wine. Very aromatic, with scents of cold steel, citrus, minerals, and flower blossoms, it is an elegant yet concentrated Chardonnay, with honey notes, good fruit extraction and richness, all buttressed by zesty acidity.
