Tasted blind at the Southwold 2012 tasting, the 2012 Pouget has plenty of red berry fruit laced with cooked meat and cloves, though it felt more forward than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe fruit, silky smooth with dark cherries, clove and cedar on the long finish. Given how much this classified Margaux has a rather lowly reputation, this 2012 is a commendable showing and it should drink nicely for 7-10 years. Tasted January 2016.
