The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee du Quet is a blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Mourvedre. Dense ruby/plum/purple in color with a big, exuberant, almost flamboyant nose of damp earth, melted licorice, sweet plums, currants, and raspberries, the wine is rich, full-bodied, with layers of concentration, moderate tannin, and a powerful, long finish with plenty of spice and earth. Give this wine 2-3 years of bottle-age and drink it over the following 15 years.Importer: Alain Junguenet, Wines of France, Mountainside, NJ; tel. (908) 654-6173
