Dense, large-scale wine, with thick layers of blackberry, boysenberry, mocha and espresso flavors supported by lush, powerful tannins. Big, smoky, tarry finish. Super dark; almost black like night. This is big-boned New World Syrah from the Apalta Vineyard, and the aromas of violets and cherry are appealing. Big in the mouth, with bracing acidity and a lot of spare tannin. Very chewy and ripe, with vivid fruit. You won’t find other wines like this; it’s one of a kind. Imported by T.G.I.C.
