The lineup of new releases begins with the 2005 Vendimia Seleccionada, a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano sourced from vines averaging 35 years of age. The wine was aged for 12 months in new French and American oak and bottled unfiltered. Dark ruby-colored, it delivers a fragrant perfume of cedar, spice box, violets, cinnamon, and blackberry. This leads to an elegant, supple, ripe wine with ample sweet fruit and incipient complexity. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 8-10 years. Bodegas y Vinedos Heras Cordon is one of the showcase wineries of Rioja. The winemaker is the talented Alejandra Roxane Schmedes from renowned Rioja producer Bodegas Remirez de Ganuza.Importer: Tom George, Frontier Wine Imports, Dover, NJ; tel. (973) 328-4500
