Pungent, mineral-laced scents of underripe orchard fruits, nectarine, citrus pith and violet, with a spicy overtone. Smooth, palate-coating pear and pit fruit flavors are braced by chalk and quinine nuances and show terrific energy. The finish lingers with floral and mineral notes. I had a brief image of mixing top-notch Chablis with a serious Condrieu when I drank this intriguing wine.
