Le Pin Beausoleil is consistently one of the best of the Bordeaux Superieur wines and overperforms in almost every vintage I’ve had it. The 2012 is a pretty big, rich, fleshy wine that comes across more like a Pomerol than one would expect. Big and fleshy, its ripe black cherry and blackcurrant fruit is followed by a heady wine with excellent purity, depth and richness. It is not terribly complex, but it is very satisfying and hedonistic. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. A sleeper of the vintage.
