The 2007 Cabernet contains 5% Petit Verdot and was aged for 16 months in new and used French oak. Deep cherry red in color, it delivers a nose of smoke, violets, spice box, black currant, and blackberry. Nicely balanced and savory, this relatively forward Cabernet will evolve for 1-2 years and drink well from 2011 to 2019. The 2007 vintage was a challenging one in Barossa Valley. Kaesler’s current collection is first class but not quite up to what they achieved in 2004, 2005, and 2006.Importer: Epicurean Wines, Seattle, WA; tel. (206) 923-1376
