Philippe Faury has fashioned a fat, soft, unctuously-textured Condrieu with a slight degree of residual sugar. A deep wine, with sensational extract and a knock-out nose of over-ripe peaches and apricots intertwined with floral scents, it should be drunk over the next 12 months. It is close to being a Vendange Tardive-styled wine.
This wine was tasted in September, 1995, from bottle, unless otherwise noted. Prices quoted are based on the current exchange rate of five francs per dollar.
