The Choblet’s 2007 Muscadet Cotes de Grandlieu Chateay de Loriere – from weathered schist and granite soil – offers lime, pineapple, pear, and a greenhouse-like amalgam of shrubbery and flowers in the nose. Softer on the palate than their “Classic” bottling, it finishes with juicy generosity and a lick of salt. I would enjoy this over the next 12-18 months. Jerome and Luc Choblet have not missed a beat in 2007, fielding another collection of infectiously delicious and superb value wines. The hard part is keeping track of their numerous properties and cuvees, of which I tasted only the following three.Importer: Stacole Fine Wines, Boca Raton, FL; tel.
