The 2014 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, picked on September 23 from the parcel in the middle of the vineyard, has a nicely defined, focused bouquet with dark berry fruit tinged with rose petals and a touch of mint. The 50% new oak is nicely integrated on the palate, well balanced and focused with good substance towards what is, at the moment, a structured and conservative finish. Give this 2-3 years.
